Popular Facebook Applications
Facebook is one of the more popular social networking websites on the internet. Since it first released back in 2004, it has grown at an accelerated rate both in popularity and user size. One of the more recent additions or advancements done to the website, are what Facebook calls “Apps or Applications”. This addition to Facebook, allows developers to create applications that interact with the website itself. At the moment, there are over 14,000 applications available to users and that number continues to grow. That number is an insane amount and one has to think to themselves, “Which applications are good to use?” Some of the more popular applications that users have been using include SuperPoke!, Where I’ve Been, Happy Hour!, Top Friends, and Horoscopes. Read along to learn more about these awesome applications! SuperPoke! Ever want to hug, slap, poke, pinch, kiss, high five, or pretty much do anything to anyone on Facebook? With SuperPoke! you can! Simply log into your profile, click on Applications along the left under the Search box, and browse for the application and hit install. Once installed just choose what action you want to perform and to who, and you are done. This little app adds a lot of fun to Facebook. There are other similar applications that try to copy, but SuperPoke! is still by far the most popular. Where I’ve Been Where I’ve Been, is a very cool and interactive map that allows others on Facebook to see where you have been, where you have lived, and where you would like to go. View and compare your map with friends. The application is very easy to use and does not require anything other than your Facebook account and the installed application itself to use. Happy Hour! Happy Hour! is a great way to buy drinks for your friends. There is a very large selection of drinks you can select from and give to whomever you please. Some drinks cost more or less than others, but don’t worry, it isn’t real money. Instead, Facebook gives you a certain amount of money every day to spend and you can also answer free questions to get even more money. Top Friends Are you closer to some of your friends than others? Do you want to show off your favorite friends in your life? Top Friends is a great app that allows you to select up to 32 people in your friends list to be viewed on your profile as your top friend. You can even arrange them in how they rank as your top friend and change the layout of the listing. It will also give you updates on what’s going on with that particular person. Horoscope Who doesn’t love reading horoscopes? The Horoscope application will allow you to get frequent updates covering all zodiac signs. It even allows you to choose your own Horoscope skin and Facebook is always working on updating it. |
